Hello,

Apologies if this information exists somewhere; I have not been able to locate it.

I would like to know more about the accuracy of the Horizon IMU readings, and what (if any) measurement biases that can be expected.

  • Is any IMU calibration done before shipping? If so, could you share some details?
  • What accuracy can be expected for the rotational alignment of the lidar frame and the IMU frame?
  • Is the outputted data cleared from the typical IMU sensor errors (bias, scale, cross axis, acceleration influence on the gyro, etc) or does the user have to account for those?
  • If so, could you share a mathematical model that models these biases and/or some best practices regarding calibration of the horizon IMU?
